Internal Parasites, what are they and what are the dangers and treatments?

Internal parasites are tiny organisms that live inside the body, often in the intestines, feeding on nutrients and sometimes causing health problems like stomach pain, diarrhea, or fatigue.

Most Common kinds of Internal Parasites in Humans:

  1. Roundworms (Ascaris lumbricoides) – Large worms that live in the intestines; common in areas with poor sanitation.

  2. Hookworms (Ancylostoma duodenale, Necator americanus) – Attach to the intestinal wall and feed on blood, causing anemia.

  3. Whipworms (Trichuris trichiura) – Live in the large intestine; can cause diarrhea and abdominal pain.

  4. Pinworms (Enterobius vermicularis) – Small worms that cause itching around the anus, especially in children.

  5. Giardia (Giardia lamblia) – A protozoan parasite causing diarrhea, cramps, and nausea; often spread through contaminated water.

  6. Entamoeba histolytica – Causes amoebic dysentery with diarrhea and abdominal pain.

  7. Tapeworms (Taenia species) – Flatworms that can grow long in the intestines; infection often comes from undercooked meat.

These parasites vary by region and sanitation conditions, and some are more common in children.

What are the Dangers?

If left untreated, internal parasites can cause serious health problems, including malnutrition, anemia, digestive issues, and weakened immunity. In severe cases, they can lead to growth delays in children, organ damage, or life-threatening infections.

The Treatment?

Ivermectin: (See Super Drops Page)

A well-trusted anti-parasitic medicine used for decades to safely and effectively remove harmful parasites from the body. It helps treat conditions like intestinal worms, certain skin infections, and lice, improving health and comfort for people around the world.

Ivermectin is a widely used antiparasitic medicine that has been safely prescribed for humans for decades. It works by interfering with the nerve and muscle function of parasites, which paralyzes and eliminates them from the body. Doctors use ivermectin to treat conditions such as intestinal worms, river blindness, strongyloidiasis, and certain skin infections like scabies and lice. When taken as directed, it is well tolerated and highly effective, making it one of the most important medicines in global health.

Mebendazole:

Mebendazole is a medication used to treat common intestinal worms, such as roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, and pinworms. It works by stopping the worms from absorbing sugar, which weakens and eventually kills them, helping to clear the infection and restore health.

 - Mebendazole Emverm: Treatment of Pinworm, Whipworm, Roundworm and

                                          Hookworm

Mebendazole usually starts working within a few hours of taking a single 500 mg dose, targeting and killing intestinal worms. Most infections are cleared within a few days, but it may take up to 3 weeks for symptoms to completely disappear, depending on the type and severity of the infection.

Deworming is necessary twice a year, followed by a detox, for more info on the detox, click here:
